Alex M. Grigorians is a Partner in the firm’s Downtown, Los Angeles office. Alex draws from a broad range of real estate and business law expertise as in-house counsel and as an attorney at regional, national and international law firms. His practical and conservative approach to addressing the business concerns of his clients makes Alex a valued, reliable and trusted advisor.
Alex specializes in real estate transactions and real estate finance transactions, also regularly advises on general business and corporate matters. Alex provides counsel to international, national and local real estate clients on a full-range of commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of property in all asset classes. Alex’s expertise also includes CMBS lending, portfolio and securitized financing, as well as receiverships and distressed real estate transactions.
An occasional industry lecturer and author, Alex most recently lectured at UCLA's Anderson School of Business and was a panelist at the USC Gould School of Law, Real Estate and Business Law Forum. Alex serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the California Bar Association, Financial Institution’s Committee and on the Executive Committee of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Real Estate Committee. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Armenian Bar Association. Alex also serves on the board of the Los Angeles Real Estate & Construction Industries (LARE) Council and is a founding member of City of Hope's “Building Hope” initiative. In addition, Alex handles pro bono adoption matters for Alliance for Children’s Rights.
Alex earned his undergraduate degree at U.C.L.A, and his J.D. from Southwestern Law School. He also holds a real estate broker’s license in California. He is a member of the Buckley School Alumni Association, the UCLA Anderson School of Management Alumni Association, and the Jonathan Club.
Prior to joining Safarian Choi & Bolstad LLP, Alex was a member of the Real Estate Department at the Los Angeles office of the Philadelphia-based law firm, Ballard Spahr LLP. Prior to that, Alex was a member of the Global Finance and Debt Products Group at the Los Angeles office of the Atlanta-based firm, Alston + Bird, LLP.
Alex lives in Pasadena, California with his wife and two young daughters.
