Benjamin Shakin is a transactional paralegal at Safarian Choi & Bolstad LLP, based in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office. Mr. Shakin focuses on transaction diligence and attention to closing details, including review of title, survey, zoning and due diligence materials, drafting documents, and related matters.
Mr. Shakin has over fifteen years’ experience drafting and reviewing real estate lease, loan, purchase and sale, and related agreements, reviewing diligence materials, preparing business formation documents, completing business and litigation filings, and providing research, transaction and litigation support to attorneys. He has worked on a broad range of transactions ranging from acquisition, management, financing, leasing, development and disposition of commercial, retail, industrial, residential, mixed-use and portfolio assets.
Mr. Shakin is also committed to helping create a more sustainable economy in Los Angeles, and runs a small non-profit that helps green professionals connect and thrive. Mr. Shakin studied philosophy at New York University, and earned his MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in 1995, where he received a full-tuition scholarship and graduated with honors.
