Chris has over thirty years of experience representing individuals and businesses in environmental litigation, regulatory proceedings and transactions.  Chris’ areas of expertise include contaminated soil and groundwater in Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Hazardous Substance Account Act (HSAA) litigation and administrative permitting, compliance and enforcement proceedings before numerous local air quality management districts and regional water quality control boards.  Agencies before whom Chris has appeared include the California Air Resources Board, the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control.  Chris had experience handling matters including the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65).

Chris holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Stanford University and received his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.  Chris is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
