Noel Vales is an attorney in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office. Noel has several years of experience in real estate finance transactions representing investment banks, insurance companies, regional and national banks, and other financial institutions. He has previously worked at a number of Am Law 100 law firms and also in-house at banks in New York City. As lender's counsel, he has worked on loan originations, refinancings, mezzanine loans, CMBS loans, construction loans, and permanent loans. He has also worked on the purchase/sale of mortgage loans and loan securitizations. These financings involve properties such as multi-family affordable housing, hotel, casino, condominium, retail, shopping center, and office building.
Additionally, Noel has represented institutional equity investors and real property owners in closings related to the construction, rehabilitation, and operation of housing developments that utilize the federal low-income housing tax credit program and other government-assisted programs. He has represented clients in the acquisition/disposition of real property involving single and multiple asset sales. Noel has also represented landlords and tenants in the leasing of office, retail, and warehouse space, including drafting and negotiating commercial leases, ground leases, subleases, lease amendments, and settlement agreements.
Noel is the Immediate Past-President of the NFALA Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that focuses on providing scholarships to law students and that works in collaboration with the National Filipino American Lawyers Association. Noel is also a board member of the University of San Diego School of Law Alumni Association.
Noel is a proud Bruin having attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he earned his B.A. in Political Science. He attended law school at the University of San Diego School of Law.
